Leofoto Tripod Issues

After a recent shoot, I noticed an issue with my Leofoto tripod, where one of the legs was tricky to move in and out. Some research online suggested that this was down to shims and a known issue. Speaking to Leofoto, they suggested that I could get these replaced under their warranty. A quick call to the retailer that I purchased it from and some new shims have been ordered and are on their way from the US.


The tripod has been excellent for my use, it's made from carbon fibre, so is really lightweight and out in the field, it performs brilliantly, meaning that when I need to use it, it does what it needs to do! I found my old steel tripod began to get too heavy to walk long distances with, so this one is ideal, it's light weight nature, whilst still holding my Canon 5D4 in place is excellent and adjustments can be made quickly and easily.


The photo below shows the problem with the shim, meaning that it was becoming tricky to move that leg in and out:
